Same Kind of Different . . . as These!

American ballerina Misty Copeland chose some stunning Anabela Chan teardrop pendant earrings to accent her ensemble at the the 2017 American Ballet Theatre Fall gala in New York, New York.

On close examination, you see the analogous green/blue color palette was worked out so each earring is the reverse color scheme of its mate.

This artful treatment to an already stunning set of ear pendants takes it over the top into another style kingdom all its own. It's not without precedence however. High jewelers have been using this daring technique for quite a while. When the stones and the design are exquisite, a designer can just about do anything he/she wants and will get a standing O. For sure.

Recently Sotheby's Geneva auctioned a one-off pair of pears; gorgeous pear shaped Apollo Blue and Artemis Pink diamonds and hit a record for earrings sold at Sotheby's. When the furor subsided, the last hammer fell at US$42.1M for these stunning jewels.

Sotheby's auctioneer David Bennett, chairman of their international jewelry division called it a "very healthy price."

Salut!
