You Need to Cool Down!
It's summer, it's hot, and you want to cool off. Jump into aqua, aquamarine, that is.
This perennially cool stone's name literally means marine water--or sea water. The stone is a member of the beryl mineral family. And beryl has some pretty snazzy other varieties in its tribe. You like emerald, don't you? That's a beryl too. So is Golden Beryl, Morganite and umpteen other yummy soft toned gemstones.
Leave Nature Alone
We're loving the uber cool vibe created by these ear pendants. The upper most aquamarine segment of each earring is an individual shape, you'll notice. That's considered a bit daring on such a spectacular and rather classic jewelry item. But it certainly underscores the natural aspect of this gemstone. Move your eye around the entirety of these jewels, with special focus on the smaller aqua accent stones that create the pave end caps on the pearls, and the asymmetrical halos around the rough-hewn aqua top stones. You'll begin to see that some of these natural stones have glints of greenish-blue, while others are more pure turquoise-aqua in tone. That's because in nature, each stone actually has its own personality, and aquamarine is no exception. The material is mined in a range from greenish tones to almost straight sky blue colors. All fabulous and full of distinction.
The pearl. Did you notice the pearl. Now this was a charming finial to such an important piece of jewelry. But think about it for a moment. The pairing of aquamarine and pearl is a match made in . . .
the ocean! Aquamarine which means sea water is actually home to these lustrous South Sea pearls now isn't it?
Every Jewel Tells a Story
Every jewel tells a story, and this one is cool and inviting. This one's perfect for a mid summer night's party, or any time you want to cool down with some come-hither jewels. Dive in to aquamarine this summer.
