Where there's Smoke there's Fire

THIS IS HOW COUNTRY ROCKS
Looking at the CMAs (that would be the Country Music Awards) you get a sense of how very grown up and urbane this crowd is. No straw in their teeth, but plenty of rocks on their ladies. Recently the lovely Carrie Underwood adorned her shimmering gown with Sutra's sleek dangle earrings created from smokey agate and moonstone, two very different but complementary gemstones. The result? These earrings are on fire!

THESE STONES HEAT UP A LOOK
Smoky agate is from the quartz family of opaque to semi-translucent gemstones, and has earned favor with jewelry fans for the last  . . . oh, 3,000 years or so. Been around, and it still thrills. Moonstone is a mesmerizing stone of ancient addiction as well. The Greeks coined its name in tribute to its ethereal silvery impression that looked to them like moonlight.

MODERN TAKE ON EARRINGS
More and more daring designers today are venturing away from tried and true and not so surprising gemstone choices for their collections. Sutra's clever combining of elegant lines and craftsmanship paired to the unexpected stone re-energizes collectors to fall in love with jewelry all over again . . . and maybe even break out in song
