Shake Another Tail Feather, Baby

Serendipitously we stumbled onto this bodacious ruby peacock brooch created by Cartier. It will hop up on the auction block at Sotheby's Hong Kong this October 7, 2013 should you need to mark your calendar ahead of time.
To ready you, let's go over the details. The central oval ruby on which the precious peacock perches is of 48.57 carats. That stunner as well as all the accent (we use that word loosely) natural rubies are of Myanmar (Burmese) origin.
The splendid diamond and ruby plumage adds another 28 carats to the piece.
The diamonds are no slackers either. These icy sparklers are graded E-F color, and VVS1-to VS1 in clarity. Yeowser.
