FEEDING FRENZY

In High jewelry, and that means anything too ritzy for most jewelry fans, price and whimsy often go hand in hand. Why not? When you've got that much stash, you can be downright cheery about everything.

Animal attraction remains a favorite jewelry motif dating back thousands of years. It's a way to get in touch with ones' wild side without actually getting mussed up. Fair enough.

House of Cartier knows a few things about High Jewelry and tongue-in-cheek design. Here a pair of emerald and diamond studded crocks take a playful nip at one another and in doing so create a dazzling circlet around the neck of the fortunate wearer.

You should get one. It's about $200K.
